Cremation Over Burial.

March 9, 2010

Death is not just something that happens to other people and families, and as we grow older we become to realise that death, in fact, is inevitable and will happen to us all one day. The emotion and pain that we feel when we lose someone close can at times be unbearable and for many hard to cope with.

No one can prepare for the death of someone close and even if the person is very ill and we know that death is inevitable, actually losing that person can still come as a shock.

It is important to discuss, especially as we grow older, with our family our last, final wishes so that we get the send off we wanted and deserve. Leaving arrangements to family can cause rifts as what is the right decision for one person, may not necessarily be the right decision for another!

Arranging a funeral can be very stressful as there are numerous matters to organize including flowers, printing, transportation, burial plots and headstones. Thankfully, these days, local funeral homes can take over all these arrangements for us.

Your local funeral home director will be able to advise you on all aspects of either a burial or cremation and a pre-pay scheme may also be available to relieve your family of any financial burden.

Once your funeral arrangements have been arranged, make sure you advise friends and family of where important paperwork is regarding your funeral so when the time comes everything is to hand.

The death of someone close can be one of the most emotional and devastating times in our lives, however by pre-planning your own funeral your relieve financial and emotional burden from your friends and family and allow them to mourn you properly with other family members.
