<p>I am shocked to see that coaches do not use a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/soccer_field_diagram.html">soccer field diagram</a> to teach the kids various soccer formations. Or in case they do it, they fall short of making the players appreciate the significance of 4 main positions. These 4 positions are Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders, and the Goalie. Let&#8217;s discuss these individually.</p>
<p> Forwards: They are the ones who place themselves close to the opponent’s goalpost. Their goal is to convert the passes given to them by players in other positions into goals. Because they will be the ones who make maximum shoots to the goal, they need to be very tough. This is important even if they do not have other skills of great quality.</p>
<p> Nevertheless, let it be evident that other players shall continue to progress from one position to a new position. When forward players play in the middle, they are known as strikers and wings when near the touch lines. But in keeping with their primary role as forwards, they should be strongly built and have powerful shooting toes.</p>

<p>Mid-fielders: As the name suggests, these are players who play in the middle of the field. Their role is to grab the ball, pass it to the forwards so that they can further score the goals. They are generally 5 to 6 in number. Define their position clearly in the soccer field diagram.</p>
<p> The concentration of the coach should be on improving the tackling and dribbling skills of the players. This is really helpful in snatching the ball from the opponents and attacking the opposition. In addition, they should be good at passing the ball. These are one of the most important soccer positions on the field diagram.</p>
<p> Defenders: These players protect the goal from attacks and hence are called defenders. As is obvious, this position is important. They are 3 to 5 in number and guard the goal closely to avert attacks.</p>
<p> In addition, their task is also to take the ball from the goalie and pass it to the players. An ability that is important to them is to kick the ball high to midfielders and so the coach must focus on this skill.</p>
<p> Goalie: The all important person who takes charge of goal post and has to make every effort to save the ball from crossing over to the goalpost. When all other players are unsuccessful in defending the goal, the goalie must use his powers to subvert the attack.</p>
<p> Considering that the goalie is the only one in the team who can use his hands also, the coach must initiate special soccer tactics, drills and exercises that help the goalie in leveraging this benefit.</p>
<p> Now that you are armed with this information, you must create a soccer field diagram and then discuss these positions with your players. <p> 3. Exercise.<br /> Stop being inactive, run or walk every morning. It doesn’t matter if you have a money to go to a gym with fully equipments, you can still exercise on your own. That’s why Physical Education been taught in school. It teaches us how to do sit ups, push ups, crunches and other basic exercises. Of course, using machines do helps a lot like treadmills and bikes, but if you really do have a tight budget and cannot afford to go to the gym you may consider doing the first option.</p>
<p> 4. Discipline.<br /> This is the most important ingredient to have a great body. I tell you, if you cant discipline yourself don’t hope for this to be come true, because definitely you’re going to fail. Getting a great body and abs is easier than you think, you just need to discipline yourself. The most necessary thing with this is the behavior that you have and not the knowledge you have.</p>
<p> With the tips and advices that I have given you, you will now be able to obtain this. <p> 8. Techniques: Set up multiple performance based methods to boost the confidence level. For example: When a particular situation comes up, this is the path that the players must go by.</p>
<p> 9. Plan: In football coaching, teach the players to pursue their goals in a planned and systematic way.</p>
<p> 10. Progress: Tell them to learn the skill of patience. Let them know that improvement always comes in a series of ups and downs.</p>
<p> 11. Setbacks: Let the players understand that setbacks are there to stay. So, the best way is learn from them and become even stronger.</p>
<p> 12. Remembrance: Last but by no means the least, make the players understand that they are trying to change for a reason. They should always bear in mind why they&#8217;re doing this. What would the change mean to them for their future?</p>
